Weekly Meditation Gathering

Pausing to meditate with a group, even for just 30 minutes, can support and refresh your practice. Each week, we gather to build community and engage in guided meditation with experienced teachers.

We meet each Monday evening at 5:30 pm Pacific, opening with sharing and discussion around a theme— feel free to have a cup of tea handy and sit in a comfy spot. At 6:00 pm, we enjoy a guided meditation together. Katie Dutcher and Marianne Rowe share the hosting of this weekly meditation gathering. Meditations focus on mindfulness of breathing, sound, body sensations, mind states, and/or open awareness, and are appropriate for those who are new to meditation or experienced.

Please note that all kinds of participation are welcome in this session. If you'd like to share your video, we appreciate it, and this helps to create a sense of community. During the discussion, speaking or contributing via the chat are both welcome as well, and if you prefer to simply listen, simply listen. If you prefer to access only the meditation, come on into the virtual space just before 6:00 pm Pacific with your microphone on mute.

Donation

Our weekly meditation gatherings are offered in the spirit of Gift Economy. Payment is by donation, according to the financial means of each participant and as a reflection of gratitude for the value received. We deeply appreciate your honoring of teachers' investments of time, energy, and care through your donations. We are grateful for, and dependent on, your support to offer weekly meditation sessions.

This event meets online via Zoom. Having a space that is quiet and where you are not likely to be interrupted will contribute to a more beneficial experience for yourself and all participants. Co-creating a container of respect and presence for this conversation will enhance the benefits of this experience for each and all of us.

This is an experiential, practice-based session. We will begin and end with time together as a group, so if you are able to turn on your video for these parts of our time together, we appreciate it -- this helps to cultivate a sense of community and engagement. Most participants elect to turn off their video during the meditations and other practices to create a sense of privacy and the ability to “go inward.”
